Dr. Gamal Elkenany took part in the 28th edition of the Gulfood exhibition, the largest annual global gathering of leaders in the food supply sector, held from February 20th to February 24th at the Dubai World Trade Center in the United Arab Emirates.

Elkenany further elaborated that the opening day of the Gulfood exhibition marked a huge success, with over 5,000 companies representing 120 countries and over 2 million visitors to the Dubai venue. The event welcomed prominent figures and renowned chefs from the food industry, shaping the future of food innovation and exploring new ways for the entire ecosystem’s benefit.
Elkenany emphasized the huge development witnessed in recent years toward achieving sustainability in the food sector. He noted that the event plays a pivotal role in fostering this development by bringing together industry leaders worldwide to share experiences and discuss the future of food security, sustainability, and packaging solutions.
Furthermore, acknowledging the fact that the food industry plays a significant role in carbon emissions, Gulfood Forest has taken steps towards environmental sustainability through its participation in the Green Food Initiative campaign. The campaign aims to promote the growth, preservation, restoration, and cultivation of trees worldwide, which in turn helps mitigate climate change.
