Today, Friday, January 20, the United Arab Emirates announced that it will host the meetings of the 54th session of the Higher Coordination Committee for Joint Arab Action and the sixth session of the Forum of Specialized Quality Arab Federations.
According to the Emirates News Agency, the meetings are scheduled to be held in the capital, Abu Dhabi, on January 23-26, chaired by His Excellency the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
Dr. Jamal Al-Kinani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Kinani Group and Managing Director, emphasized the importance of his attendance at the forum of specialized qualitative Arab federations, stressing the necessity of his participation in joining a number of CEOs representing major local and international companies. He added that the meetings will witness intense participation from organizations and institutions of joint Arab action in These meetings.
He explained that it will include basic activities in the meetings that include many topics, the most important of which are Arab food security, climate change, the Arab digital economy, and cybersecurity, in addition to issues related to the activities of Arab organizations and federations and the role required of them in the next stage.
It is expected that all the institutions of joint Arab action will participate as members of the Higher Coordination Committee for Joint Arab Action, which numbers 35 organizations. The heads and secretaries of more than 40 specialized Arab federations active under the system of joint Arab action will also participate in the meetings.
He added that strengthening the role of these federations is an important matter and a necessary step to keep pace with the sustainable development process in its economic, social, and environmental dimensions, in a way that increases the immunity of Arab societies and fortifies them in facing the challenges of Arab food security.
Ambassador Hossam Zaki, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League, said that the convening of these meetings comes within the framework of coordinating and following up the efforts of joint Arab action institutions in light of developments and developments in the Arab region.
He added that these developments imposed a new reality and great challenges that require all organizations to interact with them and develop their programs and goals to keep pace with them in order to advance the Arab reality, which also requires more collaboration between those organizations and both the public and private sectors.
Dr. Ali Muhammad Al-Khoury, Advisor to the Council of Arab Economic Unity and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Union for Digital Economy, stressed the importance of these meetings organized by the United Arab Emirates, especially as the Arab region is witnessing great changes, which makes it necessary to create a wide space of joint cooperation between Arab countries and organizations and call for the integration of joint Arab activities.
